Between what is easy to achieve and what is the right thing to do, we choose the latter. We keep the end goals of the projects that we work on in our minds. Easy today often makes life harder tomorrow - we do not fall into this trap.

In the real world, there are trade-offs and situations that might arise where we choose sub-optimal options. However, these should not become the norm. At best, these situations should not arise. At worst, these should be few and far between.

💡 For many agencies, the landscape is always agency vs. client. They are of the notion that to do good by the agency, they must dupe the client. We don’t think like that.

We work collaboratively with our clients since their success is tied to ours and ours to theirs. Hence, every time we make a decision, we must evaluate it through this lens. Is it good for our client’s business? Will it help them? Will it make their life easier?

While thinking about our partner(s), we should also make sure we’re not leading the agency towards hairy situations. This is why it’s imperative that we carefully evaluate possible solutions and choose the ones which benefit both parties.

This doesn’t mean that there won’t ever be conflicts. As soon as a point of conflict is identified, we must work fast towards resolving it - through dialog with the partner(s) rather than sheepishly working around the problem.
