Sketchbooks, Pinterest, and a hot cup of coffee are your best friends. You have hundreds of hours of binging PiXimperfect under your belt. Your daydreams often turn into art pieces that you showcase as your personal exhibition on Behance. You have a love for working with a variety of clients, and very importantly, yogi-like patience with idiots who think they know design. At the end of the day, you are someone who lives and breathes for visually weaving other people’s dreams and imaginations into beautiful (and functional) reality.
A love for UI that borders on unhealthy obsession.
A knack for taking unique problems and transforming them into creative solutions that look good, feel right, AND work well.
The ability to give a crash course on Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma to an eight-year-old.
The understanding that good design is less about what looks best to you, and more about what makes people smile,
You are good with people and to people - whether it’s designers or developers, creative directors or clients, the people who clean our office, or the people who deliver your lunch.
You realize that done is often better than perfect. You consider “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” as your life’s motto.
You are organized. And you take deadliness very, very seriously.
Actual work experience goes a long way, but a burning passion to always be better and genuine creative ability go even further.
A strong enough heart to bear the 6th final draft. A focus on feedback will take you places - especially upwards.
At SimplePlan, ours is an intentionally flat setup. At any given point, you'll be a part of a couple of projects in different phases which means your day will involve close collaboration with fellow graphic designers, web designers, front-end developers, creative leads as well as account executives.
